Chusen is a type of traditionally used stencil dyeing technique used in Japan.

The dyes are poured in from both sides, front and back of a fabric.  Because dyeing processes are all done manually, a texture of each finished product varies.  Stain and unevenness of the dye becomes an unique character to each finished product.
